Highlights

Welcome to East Herts Archaeological Society.

We are one of the oldest archaeological societies in this part of the country with publications and records that go back to 1899. Our aims are to foster interest in the county’s archaeology and history, to promote and assist in  excavations and historical investigations and to help protect ancient buildings and monuments in East Herts.

The first of our EHAS winter lectures takes place on A Saturday 12th October at 14.30 at Bengeo Parish Hall on Duncombe Rd SG14 3DA It is titled “Roman Baths” and is by Anna Mangini, from Codicote Local History Society.

Also come to the 2019 Presidents Walk on Saturday 7th September when Anne Rowe will guide you through 1000 years of history at Burleigh Farm in Knebworth. Starts 2.30 pm. Email us to book.
