Gordon Moodey Lecture 2025: Adrian Gibson, Archaeologist and Buildings Historian

A Unique Record of His Life’s Work in Pictures

Monday, April 7, 7:45 pm

Adrian Gibson MBE, 1932-2006, was Chairman of the East Herts Archaeological Society for many years, his interests encompassing the Lower Palaeolithic through to Historic Royal Palaces via medieval timber-framed buildings.  His collection of 20,000 items of teaching material will shortly be available on the internet thanks to a team at Cardiff University who have spent the last year digitising Adrian’s huge collection of 35mm slides.

Join his wife, Helen, an EHAS Committee member and an authority on timber-framed buildings in her own right, for a fascinating tour through the work of this remarkable man.

This is a free online lecture, but you must reserve a ticket to attend. Tickets are available via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/adrian-gibson-archaeologist-buildings-historian-a-talk-by-helen-gibson-tickets-1247223562249
